Little Mac has arrived! After having contractions for three days, the Birth was pretty quick. We woke up at 7:30 (Reagan had stayed with Papa and Nana Etter) with contractions. Since the contractions were about 13 minutes apart, we thought we had time. By the time we had breakfast and took a shower, contractions were 4 minutes apart and pretty strong. We high-tailed it to the hospital and were admitted at 9:00 and dialated to a 6, almost 7. Lindsay was on pain meds by 9:30 and fully dialated soon after. Since everything had moved so fast, Lindsay needed a few minutes to collect herself and let the meds really kick in. We started pushing at 10:15 and after two and a half pushes, James Dylan was here. We spent more time waiting for a contraction to come than we did actually pushing. Born at 10:30 am on July 2, 2009, he is 6 lbs 13 ounces and 19 1/2 inches tall. He has some dark hair and blue eyes, but not as much hair as his sister. You can definitely see the resemblence between the two! Photos to come later once the USB cable arrives!
Our plan is to call him Dylan, but his dad may call him J.D. or Dylan.
John is currently introducing Dylan to the wonderful world of golf and most importantly, Tiger Woods. After a speedy introduction into the world and a warm first bath just minutes ago, Dylan is learning mostly through osmosis.
