Dylan's First Boo Boo

Poor little nose!  Looks a lot worse than it really was.  After it was cleaned up, the actual cut looked a little smaller.

Poor Dylan got his first set of stitches!  He looked so cute and so sad in his baby hospital gown!

Poor Grandma Mary was watching Reagan and Dylan when Dylan tripped and landed square on his nose into the side of Reagan's bed.  Blood was gushing so Mary did some quick thinking and rightfully called 911 and then me.  When I got home, the ambulance was there and the bleeding was under control, but the cut was deep enough that the EMT recommended a trip to the emergency room.  Mary and I took Dylan down to Children's Hospital where, after waiting in the hospital room for 2 hours, he finally got three stitches across the bridge of his nose.  I think it was harder on me to watch him get all bundled up in a papoose so he wouldn't move and then to see the needle and thread go into his nose.  Never having to make a trip to the hospital myself except to have my babies, I was new to this experience.

His nose has since healed beautifully and I no longer feel faint so I hope we don't have any more accidents in the near future.  I know this probably won't be our last trip to the ER since both my kids are pretty daring.  They definitely don't take after me!
