Story Telling With Reagan

Reagan has always been great at "reading" stories.  Long before she could speak in sentences she would hold a book and babble away.  She still does but now it is so funny to hear her string together random words and phrases to make her stories.

Tonight she "read" Snow White and the Seven "Door-offs" using a book that has nothing to do with Snow White or the Seven "Door-Offs" (Peek A Zoo).  The story went something like this:

"Snow White and the Seven Door-Offs.  Snow White went to the bushes.  She went in the forest. She rode on the wheels.  Snow White and . . . something. Oh, I love you. "Do you love sparkly?" Snow White yell-ded (I love how she throws the extra "ded" when someone talks - She said-ded, she yell-ded, etc.).  And she lived happily ever after."

I saw a book at Target called something like "If I Could Keep You Little" and one of the pages read, "If I could keep you little, I'd tell you stories every night, but then I'd miss you reading the words you've learned by sight."  Tonight was one of those nights that although I miss the baby she was, I'm so excited to see the little girl that she is becoming.
