Little Mac Update

Here's a quick update on Little Mac and our preparations for baby #2. We're 10 days away from the due date and really, I guess the baby can come at any time, but I'm not getting my hopes up. The hospital bag is in our room, but completely unpacked (but I made a list last night). I now have the blog updated so that's one last thing on my list. John's list seems to be growing however, and we hope to get some painting done this weekend in our bedroom. When that is complete, I'll post some pics of Little Mac's "room."

The doctor's update made us realize that we needed to start getting some of these things done. At Tuesday's appointment, I had dialated to a 2 in a week's time (which I never did with Reagan) and she agreed that the baby has definitely dropped. She estimated that Little Mac will be around 7 lbs, which was the same guess for Reagan although she came in a bit smaller.

Thank you all for voting for baby names, but unfortunately, we probably won't go off the poll results and really we have no clue what name the baby will end up with. We keep going back and forth and just when we think we've figured it out, it changes again. I guess we'll just have to wait to meet the little guy before we decide.

Reagan really has no idea what is going on, but she knows that a lot of things belong to her brother. She will walk around with baby clothes or the baby's nuk and say "Brother shirt" or "Brother Nukie" or climb on the new crib and say "Brother crib." Her definition of brother changes daily too. One day "brother" means my belly button. The next day "brother" is our 7 month neighbor Ethan. She's in for a surprise when she learns the true meaning of brother and that he doesn't live across the street!

Neighbor Kim says that the hospital gets a lot of babies when the storms roll in and I guess there are storms predicted for this weekend and next week, so we'll see if that will make Little Mac want to come out too.

In the meantime, we continue to be super busy with activities and really, I don't know when I have the time to deliver this baby, but he will come when he wants to!
