Exciting news ~ John and I are having a baby girl!!! John and I are really excited and my mom is so relieved! John is a little apprehensive about what he will do with a girl, but I assured him that girls do golf, so he's happy.
The baby was measured and is measuring one day smaller than she is, which the doctor said is perfectly normal. I hope she stays on the smaller side rather than the larger side! We got to see closeups of her mouth and nose (mouth is John's, nose is mine), which were adorable. We also saw her two kidneys, stomach and four chambers of her heart. Her heart rate was around 156, but it was hard to get her to sit still long enough to get the heart rate. She is already a little uncooperative because when the doctor wanted her to move a bit to get a good picture, she had fallen asleep and wouldn't budge. John says like mother, like daughter.
I was so shocked when I found out that it was a girl that I had the doctor double check and sure enough, it really was a girl. I'm having fun buying bright pink clothes already! Only four more months until we meet her!
Pictures are of the profile of her head, a leg and a arm. In the profile picture, the five dots above her head are her little fingers waving at the camera! Each picture is labeled in the top left hand corner. Next up, glucose testing in August, which I heard isn't very fun.
