First Ultrasound

We had an exciting doctor's appointment yesterday! In order to determine my due date, they did an ultrasound and we got pictures! The "official" due date is November 11th and I'm 10 weeks and 4 days along. The baby's heart rate was 178 bpm which the doctor said was perfectly normal! The sonographer said the baby was very cooperative which made both John and I happy! Hopefully, it will be cooperative when it's born too!

Here are two views of the baby . . . The head is on the right, bottom on the left. You can kind of see the two arms and its legs are tucked up together at the bottom.

Here is looking down at the top of the head and the hands. You can count all ten fingers!

Here is looking up towards its bottom looking at its feet. Not as clear as the hands and not as exciting.

Doctor's Appointment

We went to the doctor two weeks ago and she said everything looked good. We didn't hear anything about the blood tests so that's good too (the nurse said no news is good news). She didn't give us an official due date yet, but we go in for an ultrasound on April 17th. Then we'll have the "official" date.

For a couple weeks there it was rough. I would wake up feeling weak, feel nauseous during the day and night. John was going nuts with how specific I was about what I would and wouldn't eat. But the last week has been better. I'm still just tired and have been falling asleep around 8pm. The biggest change so far has been the tightening of my pants :( I wasn't ready for that!

This weekend is Easter weekend and we're planning on revealing our big announcement to the rest of the family!
