Library Card

We love the library at our house, so when Reagan was able to sign her own name to a library card, we went and got one!! She was very excited!  They even gave her a nice little wallet to put it in.

Concentrating on signing her name.

Dylan - 26 Months

Just wanted to jot down a few notes about Dylan at 26 months before I forget or he moves on to other things.  His vocabulary has expanded so much in the last couple of weeks . . . John and I laugh at the sentences he comes up with.  Sometimes he struggles to find the word or words he is looking for, but that makes it even cuter.  Here are a few of our favorite phrases lately, but it's not so much what he is saying as how he is saying it!
  • I need drink from 'or cool wa'bottle, Daddy.
  • For me?! For you?!
  • Is so cute, Mommy!
  • That 'ors?
  • Beep, beep!  I'm backing up!
  • It's my favorite, Mommy.
  • You better watch out!
  • That was close one! (You can guess that he's heard this phrase often!)
Every once in a while he forgets who he is talking to and gets the name mixed up, but corrects himself halfway through.  It's usually between John and I . . . Momdy (John) and Damy (me) have become part of the vocabulary at our house.

Dylan is also becoming quite the singer!  'Tomorrow' from Annie is his favorite song to sing (Tomara, Tomara, I yuve ya, tooomara).  He also runs through the room singing "That's when my life begins!" from Tangled when the mood strikes him.

I think Dylan's increased vocabulary has also increased he playmate status with Reagan.  I'm finding there are longer periods of time that I can get things done around the house without having to break up arguments, but don't get me wrong, they are still pretty frequent.  Overall, Dylan is still our fun, playful, happy, easygoing little guy!  He is such joy in our lives!

New Preschool!

Reagan started at her new preschool at the beginning of September and loves it!  Her first day was actually an open house that allowed the parents to explore the classroom with the kids and get them comfortable.  One month in and Reagan loves her teachers and I do too!  In a month she's learned how to write her name, she learned to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and leanred the all the planets.  Amazing (at least to me)!

We're lucky that the school is within walking distance.  We've definitely taken advantage of this nice weather!

Tinkerbell (the puppy) and Elmo accompianied us on the first day.

Walking with Daddy.

Playing a matching game with Daddy.
