Go Twins!

NorthMarq contributes to a local charity (Cornerhouse). As an annual fund raiser, Cornerhouse hosts a pig roast and auction before a Twins game. So, we were the beneficiaries of tickets for Tuesday nights' game.

Ready for the game!

Before the game, there are baloon animal artists and face painting. Reagan got to partake in both...

First, she got a pink puppy.

Then, instead of face paint, we painted her forearm. That way, she could admire Elmo too!

It did get smudged (pretty quickly actually)

Dylan enjoyed the game too!

Jim & Jan were there too (with their season tickets).

The whole Fam!

Bath Time for Dylan

Once the remainder of Dylan's umbilical cord fell off, we were able to start giving him baths in the baby tub. John has become the designated bather because I have a hard time holding onto D and bathing him at the same time. John seems to have perfected this skill. Our little helper Reagan loves to help with bathtime because it gives her a chance to splash in the water too. According to John, Reagan's helps usually includes at least one cup of water poured over Dylan's face! Our floors are usually soaking after she "helps."

The diaper stays on until the very end so we don't get any extra sprays! Yes, the diaper gets soaking wet, but I'd rather waste a diaper than end up with pee in the face!

D doesn't look happy here, but he's usually pretty calm during bathtime.

"I good helper."
I'm pretty sure this is the picture where she found the bath tub plug. John and I were wondering why the puddle was getting bigger and bigger after Reagan left the room only to discover she had pulled the plug on the tub!

2 Weeks Old

I didn't capture Dylan's comparison picture until he was two weeks old (I think it was one week old with Reagan) and I still don't have the sign made to label the picture, but I'll get there eventually.

Here is Dylan at two weeks old with his (unnamed) friend, the rhinoceros:

Look at those skinny legs!!

Reagan wanted to get her picture taken too. She looks so "sturdy" compared to Dylan!

Dylan's Newborn Pics

We had Dylan's newborn pics taken on July 10th and we finally got the link to the gallery! Thanks Jen for taking such adorable pictures of Dylan! We were so grateful that she was willing to be patient with us, and especially with trying to get Reagan in at least one picture. For some reason, Reagan has decided that she does NOT want her picture taken with her brother.

Here's the link:

Pool Party!

Since John was home with us for two weeks after Dylan was born, Reagan had a lot of time to play outside. One of the best activities we got to do with Daddy was pull out the swimming pool. Reagan was able to play with Ethan in the pool and Auntie Carrie even got in on the action!

Who Do I Look Like?

I've discovered that the most comments you get when you have kids revolve around who the child looks like. Lately, I've been getting a lot of comments about Reagan looking like a mini me, but John and I both see a nice blend of the two of us. With the latest addition, I thought it would be fun to post newborn picks of the four of us and you can decide for yourself.

John - December 1980
Lindsay - December 1980

Coming Home on the 4th of July

John and I brought Dylan home on the 4th of July. We stayed an extra night at the hospital because we were thinking Dylan would have his circumcision done at the hospital and the nurses recommended another day. We decided to go to the clinic to do it instead, but we still stayed to have one more day of peace and quiet!

Modeling his coming home outfit

Going home as a family of four!

Reagan helped to buckle him in his carseat.

I think its so funny to see how tiny they first are in the carseat!

Reagan wanted to help push the wheelchair down the hall. Such a good helper!

Loaded up and ready to go!

Happy to be home

Since we weren't going to see any fireworks with celebrated the Fourth with some time outside, a Reagan parade and some ice cream treats from the DQ.

A picture to remember Dylan's first day at home and first Fourth of July.

Special Visitors

Thanks to all our special visitors that we had at the hospital and after Dylan was born. We are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends!

Proud Nana and Papa at the hospital

Dylan's godmother Kelly

The Skavnak family practicing as a family of four (Kim is due in December)!

The Lehman family

Auntie Phyllis was kind enough to make a quick visit before her busy weekend!

Proud Grandma and Papa Mac.

John's parents were at the family reunion in Illinois when Dylan was born, but were able to come up right away after they returned home.

Auntie Kathleen was able to come too!

Auntie Carrie with Dylan

Beautiful flowers sent from Auntie Phyllis and Uncle Frank, John's coworkers and the General.

More Hospital Pics

Dylan's special loveys

When Reagan first saw Dylan in the hospital bassinet, she said, "Brother, goldfish." It makes sense when you think about it from a 20 month old perspective. Goldfish live in glass bowls and that's kind of what it looks like!

First bath

The warm water on his head really calmed him down.

Proud mama

Proud daddy

Reagan was very helpful to the doctors and nurses. She loves stethoscopes!
