Dylan - 9 Months

I think we neglected to post the 8 month pictures last month, but we do have them. It was a busy month between Arizona and all the time we spent at the doctors during March.

This latest group of pictures required two people. One person to set up and place the baby while the other person had the camera at the ready. Our little man doesn't stay in one place for long anymore.

Dylan is "Soooooooo big!" This is one of his very favorite games.

He much preferred eating the sign to laying on the floor next to it.

Look, Mom! I got the letters! Nice try!

Dylan was 17.5 lbs (5th percentile) and 28 inches (25th-50th percentile) at his 9 month checkup. His ears were clear (finally!) so let's hope they stay that way for a while.

At 9 months:

• Dylan has perfected the army crawl. He knows how to crawl on all fours but the army crawl is his preferred way of getting around.
• He is getting really interactive. He loves to play peek-a-boo and "So big."
• Dylan has started to pull up on everything. Some things are not as stable as others and he's had quite a few bumps because of that. When he gets to standing he looks around with a huge smile on his face. He's so proud of himself.
• I swear he's starting to talk. When we pull out a ball for him to play with he'll say "A ba" which I take to mean "A ball." When he gets really upset and wants me, he'll say "Mama Mama Mama Mama."
• Last week he started clapping and will clap if someone else does or if you say "Yay Reagan or Twins or whoever."
• He loves to play with balls, cars and anything Reagan is playing with at the moment. He will take his toy bat while laying on his tummy and swing at any ball that might be on the ground.
• Teeth #3 and #4 (his two top teeth) arrived in the midst of an ear infection, so that was a fun week of no sleep.
• This little boy LOVES his Cheerios. Keeps Mommy working.
• Poor boy gets hit, pushed and shoved almost every day by his big sister. He is always following her close behind. Her biggest complaint is that he is always there and gets her toys wet with his drool.
• There are times when she can be really nice too and call him "Buddy." Reagan's moved on from calling him "Brother" and now calls him "Buddy." She uses "Dylan" a lot too now.
